The task for this artwork was to use a quote from a book or a vocal word and then create a picture with an Oreo. I chose the word procrastination which means to put off until a later time. In this picture, I took my inspiration from memes I see about school and procrastination. On the left side, there is one side of the Oreo acting as a table. The table has books on it representing how I should be studying. On the right side, there are text bubbles with emojis in it. The text on top says "what I'm doing instead". I tend to socialize with my friends before I start my homework. The two minutes that I set aside to do so can turns into two hours of texting and playing games. Finally, the last Oreo was used as a clock using the icing as the hands. The clock separated the two sides.
After completing my art piece, I walked around looking at other pieces. Each piece was unique and used the Oreo and other materials in very creative ways. Here are some examples of my classmate's work:
